Frequently asked questions
Q: “How much does a Fiction Prescription cost?”
A Fiction Prescription bibliotherapy session costs £55.
Q: "I know someone who would love this! Can I buy Fiction Prescription as a gift?"
Definitely. Fiction Prescription makes a particularly great gift for book lovers .... or for anyone who is curious about themselves!
Q: "Can I have more than one session?"
Absolutely! Fiction Prescription is designed to work as a stand-alone experience but can also work as a series of sessions depending on your wishes and needs.
Q: “Will I like the book you prescribe?”
Good question! The book I prescribe may push the boundaries of what you usually like to read. My aim is to prescribe a book that will challenge or resonate with something in you that was revealed in our session, enabling a sense of personal growth, but I hope you'll enjoy it too!
Q: “Will I definitely have a book title to take away?”
Usually as the session unfolds I develop a clear idea of a particular book I’d like to prescribe. On some occasions I find it helpful to take time to reflect on the session before making a choice and in those circumstances I send the prescription by email.
Q: "Do I have to read the book you prescribe?"
Not at all. I hope that it could be helpful, but what the session reveals to you about yourself is the real take-away!
